Kisling Nestico & Redick Set To Participate In 16th Annual Portage Lakes Polar Bear Jump To Raise Money For Local Food Bank

Employees and attorneys from Kisling Nestico & Redick have planned an interesting event to raise money for a food bank by swimming in a cold lake, which actually took place today on February 23. It is the 16th Annual Portage Lakes Polar Bear Jump as the staff and lawyers dress like polar bears and plunge into the water for a good cause. The firm has invited others to participate in the event as a friendly competition to see who will win as they were able to raise $26,000 dollars just last year.

The group plans on raising $25,000 this year as one of the partners of the law firm in Nestico commented about the event being a highlight of their year and just something special and fun to raise money for people in need. This event has long been a part of KNR with their campaign called “KNR Cares About Kids” to raise money for the unfortunate throughout the Ohio area. Dan Flowers, who is the CEO and president of the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank stated the ultimate value of helping out these children as 1 in 5 are malnourished as 1 dollar goes a long way as it can provide four meals according to the CEO.

He also listed that because of Kisling Nestico & Redick they will be able to provide 100,000 meals to the less fortunate who do not have anything to eat. They are truly grateful to the law firm for supporting them by raising money at their event to feed children and families in the area. Over time the annual event has become more popular as it first started out with just 70 participants in the year 2004 but has grown to a whopping 800 just last year. See This Page for additional information.

The event was created by a couple of people in the Portage Lakes Polar Bear Club and the goal that they are seeking is to raise 150,000 dollars, which amounts to 600,000 meals for the food bank in Akron to deliver to food pantries, shelters, and hunger-relief programs throughout Ohio.

Kisling Nestico & Redick has been able to contribute 109,000 in funds over the years. The law firm specializes in clients who have faced injury with their knowledge of dealing with insurance companies and of the law. The law firm was founded in 2005 and seeks justice on behalf of their clients.
